The company currently provides temporary, temporary to permanent or permanent Financial, IT (Development, Project Management, Engineering), Operational, Administrative, Management and/or Executive level resources.

As part of the company's rapid expansion plan and to ensure superlative service to customers, candidates and the business group internally, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to be part of a close-knit, high performing team.

Our client is looking to hire a high performing Business Development Manager to target new verticals, expand the business and take the company to the next level. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the cultivation, administration, and maintenance of the client relationship, building relationships with clients through the delivery of exceptional customer service characterized by mutual respect, understanding, and trust. Potential profit sharing for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business through cold calling, skill marketing, and premise visits.
  • Prepare and present professional services proposals.
  • Consult with hiring managers and vendor managers to understand hiring requirements.
  • Guide clients thorough the staffing process, ensuring they have full clarity of expectations.
  • Manage relationships throughout the assignment; expand company presence within existing client accounts.
  • Continuously expand the client base through ongoing new business development.
  • Identify candidates based on client's needs.
  • Manage the recruitment process from identification to successful closure.
  • Negotiate pay rates, bill rates, perm fees, and guarantees.
  • Resolve billing, payment, and aging issues with clients, third party vendors, and internal accounting department.

The ideal candidate will have a "hunter" mentality that can generate new business. This person will be a self-starter that is never micro-managed and driven by success. A successful Business Development Manager not only hunts for new business, but also builds relationships and brings in additional revenue through established clients.


  • BA/BS degreepreferred.
  • Successful experience in a staffing
  • Ability to develop customer relationship management, consultative and negotiation skills.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to self-manage, prioritize initiatives and work well in a team environment with competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
