Participate in the development of embedded software products for the Owego Avionics Products business area. Candidate will be responsible for the design, code and integration test of Board Support Package (BSP), Built In Test (BIT) and Test Equipment Software for Digital and RF/analog advanced state-of-art avionics processors. Software products are hardware centric and include device drivers, boot loaders and middleware. Work in hardware, systems engineering and product test labs to analyze, debug and integrate processor hardware, software and firmware. Primary SW languages are C/C++, Python and National Instrument LabView/LabWindows and Teststand. Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are required. Candidates are required to work in labs on-site and have ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Experienced Software Engineer position within a team developing Electronic Warfare software solutions. This individual will be responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule execution of software development activities for a number of simultaneous program milestones in a Technical Lead position and/or software development role. The chosen candidate will be engaged in software development activities for Operational Flight Programs that execute capabilities for various airborne platforms. Activities consist of, but not limited to, successful performance of all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, preliminary and detailed design, implementation, and test. The individual will be responsible for making innovative contributions to the development of new business opportunities and product line road maps.
Candidate must have strong skills in team participation, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to understand, resolve and communicate both technical and process issues is required. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating work with Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Program Management, product team leads, and with the Software Architect.
