Job Description

Since its founding in 1972, Wilshire Associates has evolved from an investment technology firm into a global advisory company specializing in investment products, consulting services, and technology solutions.

 

Wilshire Consulting seeks a Senior Associate to coordinate marketing activities and business development efforts with an initial and primary focus on its Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) Solutions practice and Wilshire Compass product. Embedded within Wilshire Consulting, the Wilshire OCIO Solutions team was established in 2001 to develop bespoke investment strategies for clients and then shoulder the labor intensive tasks of implementation and maintenance in order to meet long-term investment objectives. As of September 30, 2016, the Wilshire OCIO Solutions team has full discretion of over $7B in assets.  Wilshire Compass offers an institutional investment database coupled with a sophisticated suite of analytics for investment manager analysis, portfolio optimization, asset allocation modeling and risk management.  Heavily used within the organization, Wilshire Compass has also been adopted by asset owners with over $2 Trillion in assets.

 

The Senior Associate will support and direct various marketing efforts designed to generate new business opportunities for Wilshire’s OCIO practice and Wilshire Compass.  In addition, the Senior Associate will collaborate with senior sales resources on the team to drive prospects through the entire sales cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategy for Wilshire OCIO Solutions
  • Generate new business opportunities by developing and executing marketing campaigns and tactics
  • Enhance and maintain marketing collateral materials
  • Manage and update website as needed
  • Ownership of contact database and CRM tools for effective pipeline administration
  • Field and screen incoming leads/prospects
  • Support the business development team with presentations, proposals and other sales related activities
  • Usher prospects through the entire sales cycle

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience in financial services
  • Fundamental understanding of the institutional investment marketplace
  • Practical knowledge of B2B marketing tactics
  • Proven ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Desire to broaden knowledge/experience in financial services

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Marketing degree or certification
  • Sales/marketing of financial services
  • Working knowledge of SalesForce.com
  • Working knowledge of Pardot or similar marketing automation tools
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Working knowledge of website management tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to work with peers to grow a business
  • Superior organizational skills
