We are currently seeking an eDiscovery Consultant to join our Security & Resiliency Office team, based in Austin, TX.  The ideal candidate will be adaptable, forward-thinking and always looking for ways to enable the business in a compliant and adequately secure and resilient manner. 

The eDiscovery Consultant will be responsible for the following key activities: use of manual and automated techniques to collect and process electronically stored information; assist with evidence inventory enumeration and reporting; and develop and maintain comprehensive documentation. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform identification, preservation, processing, production and disposition of electronically stored information for litigation matters
  • Assist with investigation requests from corporate legal, ethics, security, and IT teams
  • Simultaneously manage multiple eDiscovery matters through entire lifecycle of each case
  • Participate in designing, testing and deployment of new forensic or eDiscovery tools or solutions
  • Perform quality analysis/control of data and processes in the various stages of the EDRM
  • Assist in the testing and validation of forensic and eDiscovery products
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and standardize process and procedures and provide continual improvement

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or 10+ years of enterprise IT experience
  • 8+ years Information Security experience
  • EnCE, EnCEP, ACE, GCFE, or PMP certification or CISSP or similar Security certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of all phases in the EDRM
  • Experience with one or more major computer forensic and eDiscovery products in an enterprise environment, such as Guidance Software, Access Data, Clearwell, etc.
  • Experience with SQL based database platforms
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a larger team to collaborate on cross functional teams
  • Experience working withMS Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
  • Experience working with commercial eDiscovery products and vendors
  • Project management or litigation experience a plus
  • Knowledge of data hosting and review platforms a plus
  • Experience working with Linux/Unix
  • Familiar with incident management procedures
  • Familiar with Data Privacy laws and the associated security requirements
  • Ability to focus on detailed data analytics, problem solving, and metrics gathering
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Cybersecurity concepts in one or more areas
