The Director Operations/GM is accountable for all manufacturing and distribution operations, supply chain and logistics, and third-party customer relationships and service. The individual is responsible for creating the Operations strategy for the business delivering results that support the overall business plan. Key results areas include achieving monthly and annual targets in manufacturing, service delivery, quality, cost, positive employee relations, safety and other relevant performance metrics.
? Responsible for one manufacturing facility, warehousing, and distribution, supply chain and logistics, multiple products and product lines, for both internal and third-party customers.
? Establish the Operations strategy that supports the overall business plan.
? Drive a culture of Quality throughout Operations.
? Establish and execute KPI?s across Operations.
? Develop strong relationships with third-party customers, including establishment of appropriate metrics, ongoing communication, and sales oriented activities.
? Lead by example to drive and sustain the cultural and technical changes necessary for world class and lean manufacturing.
? Responsible for the preparation of annual operating budgets, achievement of efficiencies, and year-over-year cost savings.
? Responsibility for creating a positive employee relations environment through effective leadership, communication, management systems, and training and development.
? Work effectively with members of Quality, R&D, Commercial, and Engineering to assure control of process and product quality.
? Ensure that all Operations are GMP and or FDA audit-ready.
? Ten-fifteen years of progressive Operations leadership experience, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics in a GMP and or FDA regulated environment.
? Food/Medical device/pharma/GMP experiencerequired. Experience with food products is preferred.
? True ?turn around? operations success and a mindset of continuous improvement.
? Adept at ?quick change-over? and nimble manufacturing processes. Strong proponent of Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
? Background in packaging, bottling and sanitation best practice procedures a plus.
? Experience of organic and inorganic growth, including integrations and tech transfer projects
? Strong leadership profile; results oriented, collaborative, effective communicator, and people developer.
? Pragmatic, flexible, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
? Collaborative servant leader that respects diversity, employee engagement and humility.
? Financial acumen and business savvy to understand the big picture of PE held business.
