The Associate General Counsel provides legal services in support of PeaceHealth including its operating units, subsidiaries and related organizations

Job description:

  • Drafts and analyzes contracts affecting the healthcare operations of the organization, including clinical affiliation, clinical research, supply chain, payor and other agreements.
  • Provides legal advice in the areas of clinical affiliation and clinical research and institutional review board (IRB).
  • Prepares, reviews, and edits legal documents and filings.
  • Conducts legal research and analysis.

Job requirements:

  • Juris-Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Superior academic performance 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney in health law.
  • Admission to state bar associationrequired.

  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Juris-Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Superior academic performance 

 EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney in health law.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION - 

  • Admission to state bar association required.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment.
  • Technical proficiency in Word and database management.
