Come help reinvent the way customers shop for clothes online!   Clothing is a fast-growing category focused on offering a rich assortment of brands across a spectrum of price-points in Men’s, Women’s and Kid’s, providing an engaging and differentiated shopping experience for customers.  Joining Amazon’s Clothing team means partnering with a dynamic, creative group of talented people to serve the needs of millions of customers.


 


The Apparel team is seeking an experienced, innovative and customer-focused Senior Merchant Manager to join our team.  The Senior Merchant Manager will manage a number of apparel subcategories and a portfolio of large, third-party merchant accounts.  He/she will drive revenue growth, drive demand and traffic, conduct regular intensive business analysis and reporting, and manage projects working with our technology teams to build a world class Apparel store.  The Senior Merchant Managers primary responsibilities will be:



  • Manage a category P&L and develop annual and quarterly category strategic plans.

  • Drive our day-to-day relationships with large key strategic partners.  Maximize the top-line results of these relationships by ensuring the partners are effectively merchandising their products on Amazon.com, running promotions, and optimizing their integration.

  • Conduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Develop programs, feature requests, and processes to drive sales.  Develop business cases to quantify the opportunities and requirements for new features and enhancements. Build strong internal relationships with technology and development teams.


Job Qualifications:


 


Interested applicants should be comfortable driving creative solutions in a fast-paced environment, serve as strong advocates for our Clothing customers and sellers on Amazon, and should be passionate about Clothing and driven to create a best-in-class online shopping experience for customers.


 


The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:


 



  • 3-5 years of account management experience, preferably within an ecommerce company
     

  • Proven analytical skills and highly comfortable with numbers (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access); an understanding of SQL is a strong plus
     

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
     

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
     

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
     

  • Relentless customer focus
     

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment
     

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
     

  • Strong writing and speaking skills
     

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
