OVERVIEW OF POSTION:


 


 


 


Primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization 


 





  • This position assists and works under the direction of the CEO and VP of Marketing in identifying, developing, monitoring, and communicating brand objectives and strategies based on Company and Retail channel direction, market opportunities, company resources and capabilities, and competitive factors.    



  • Position will lead projects with cross-functional departments, having strong interaction with Sales, Marketing, Market Development, Analysis, Product Development, Research & Development, and Procurement.



  • Specific responsibilities include developing sales and marketing plans, Retail channel product portfolio, promotions, and sales support materials.  Position also tracks sales and competitive activity, and analyzes business performances. 




 


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


 





  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Business preferred) and/or equivalent experience.




 


 


 


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:


 





  • Minimum five years in consumer marketing or equivalent experience.



  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, creative problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills.



  • Strong skills in project management and motivating relative personnel/departments.



  • Food industry marketing experience.




 


 


 


 


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES:


 


 


 


Brand Objectives and Strategies –


 





  • Catalyst in driving sales channels and distribution initiatives.  Develop, manage, measure and communicate in an efficient and timely manner business plans for Retail Channel Product Portfolio, accounts (existing and targeted), distribution, placement, promotion, pricing, consumer, competition and broker management.



  • Above plans to be done annually and reviewed quarterly,  area, market, account, relevant category/sub-category/product-type, and item.



  • Recommend strategic solutions including pricing & promotions to meet targets.  Be the driver in getting the targeted number of products in every targeted account.



  • Develops and leads implementation of business building initiatives.



  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Analysis, Market Development, Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Procurement.



  • Attend all sales meetings and communicate directions, relative expectations and performances to group.



  • Set and meet the targeted 6 month goals of the accounts and agreed on by the CEO.



  • Prioritize and develop plans to attain goals by product line



  • Track, evaluate and report  competitive sales and distribution performances on a monthly basis for all product lines.



  • Evaluate effectiveness of item mix.



  • Insure effectiveness of new product launches and initiatives.



  • Drive pricing evaluations and initiatives.



  • Proactively and on-going develop, measure and communicate effectiveness of sales and plans in conjunction with Senior Sales & Marketing Analyst.



  • Recommends strategic solutions including pricing & promotions to meet targets.  Develops & leads implementation of business building relations.



  • Evaluate product portfolio.



  • Integrate supply and demand, communicating tasks, forecasts and timelines to relevant departments.



  • Utilize and make recommendations for improved relevant communication and task systems, internal and external, including disbursement of analysis. 



  • Execution Plan



  • Track and communicate all above business plans in a timely manner.



  • Communication



  • Obtain and communicate in a timely manner to all relevant parties all relevant information including concept, development, execution, and analysis, including results, competitive activity, and opportunities.



  • Develop and implement plans that assist in achieving or exceeding sales goal for channel.



  • Track and communicate 52, 24, and 12 week ACV levels by-account, by item.



  • Business Reviews, Sales and Category Analysis



  • Quarterly performance evaluation of account, category, and item reviews including competition.
