JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summanry:

This company headquarters position reports to the Vice President, Marketing and interacts with various groups within the Marketing Department, plus Franchisees, Field Operations, and the Advertising Agency in the development and implementation of regional marketing and media programs in targeted markets.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide continuous service and support to franchisees through the development and execution of regional marketing programs. Compile, analyze and translate market data, customer demographic/lifestyle information, and media intelligence into meaningful media and local store marketing plans. Responsible for formally presenting marketing strategies, media rationale, local store marketing opportunities and preliminary planes to the franchisees and soliciting their support at the Designated Market Area (DMA) level.
  2. Manage media planning and buying schedules for as many as 60 DMAs across the country, working with Franchisees and the Advertising Agency
  3. Identify opportunities in each market for regional and local promotional programs to increase sales. Work with The Marketing team, Advertising Agency and Field Operations to develop integrated plans that include media and local store promotions specific to the needs of each market.
  4. Administer and manager regional media budgets and direct total billing processing with AP, agency, franchisees.

 

Requirements:

    • 8-10+ year of Regional Marketing Manager experience preferably at a major retail franchised organization. Related advertising agency/direct marketing agency account management experience will be considered.
    • Solid understanding of retail sales and local store promotions. Ability to plan using multiple levers and tools (both media and promotions)
    • Extensive knowledge of media, including TV, radio, billboard, transit, and direct mail advertising. Knowledge/experience in interactive marking/social media a plus.
    • Track record of success in media planning (ideally with both traditional and interactive/social media)
    • Ability to analyze research information, customer and market data/statistics and translate into media rationale for the franchise owners/regional DMA’s.
    • Ability o work under time-sensitive, pressured situations
    • Excellent communications skills (written and oral). Highly responsive and service-oriented.
    • Highly adaptable and flexible. Able to deliver results in dynamic and often challenging situations, effectively communicating with multiple constituencies.
    • BA/BS Degree required, MBA is a plus

 

Compensation:

            $100K+
