Develop new applications, business opportunities and associated products to profitably grow Fasson’s flexible packaging business. Our focus will be in the multilayer paper and film flexible packaging products printed by narrow web converters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Work with allied suppliers and laminators to fully qualify flexible packaging opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge, portfolio knowledge and the Rapid-Roll (non pressure sensitive distribution business) value proposition.
• Develop strong internal and external relationships.
• Provide ongoing gap analysis to identify new growth opportunities and execute plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
• Support market/product development initiatives including market trials, related tasks, and promotional activities
• Develop and conduct product training for internal and external customers.
• Work with Business Development Managers and product manager to ensure appropriate product portfolio and positioning for each sub-segment
• Develop strategic and tactical/business plans which effectively lead to the development of new flexible packaging businesses within the company.
• Create compelling presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Scan external technology environment for strategic alliances, business partners, potential joint venture partners, ideas, concepts, and emerging technologies.
Minimum Requirements :
• B.S. in a technical or marketing discipline (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 5 years experience selling, marketing and developing flexible packaging products
• Integrity to operate within different levels of the value chain successfully
• Strong background of commercial success, and achieving targets in previous roles
• Trained in Design for Six Sigma and/or Opportunity Analysis
• Ability to travel 50%
• Strong ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficient in assessing customer needs.
• Experience with product development & product commercialization processes.
• Strong financial skills and business acumen.
• Knowledgeable on conducting market and territory analysis and planning.
• Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
• Project management and organizational skills.
