Job Description: Microsoft is targeting its embedded platform products, including Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded and soon Windows 7 Embedded, at a wide range of embedded devices, such as Point of Sale Terminals, Thin Clients, Kiosks, ATMs, Industrial Automation PCs as well as devices that support exciting and high value business opportunities such as Digital Signage etc.

The OEM Embedded Group is hiring an experienced Sales Strategy Manager to support the growth of its embedded business. This person will define our approach to using customer insight / intelligence as a competitive tool to drive growth and enable the embedded business to further scale. This is a senior role reporting to the Director, WW Embedded Channel Strategy.

This position is responsible for defining and leading major customer insight / intelligence projects with strategic importance for the embedded business. It is also a key integration point relative to gaining and sharing insight into customer trends, behaviors and upside opportunities with the various field, BG and marketing entities.

The WW Customer Intelligence Program Manager will:

Define / re-define our strategy to using customer intelligence to drive revenue growth
Use customer data analysis to identify high potential target customers, vertical sweet-spots, market trends, customer behavior and buying trends.
Translate customer intelligence findings into a set of concrete recommendations for the sales and marketing teams to act and execute on
Regularly meet and communicate with our sales and marketing entities to present findings and drive consensus on the best course of action.
Lead and closely work with IT, Operations, Marketing and other groups to drive implementation of IT tools / applications that enable effective data analysis methods.
Help in defining our mid to long term group strategy based on solid customer insight and trend analysis

Key metrics and results associated with this role include successful definition of our customer intelligence strategy, project management as well as implementation of a set of key customer intelligence initiatives that are adopted by and add value to the field.

Success in this role will depend on the candidate’s ability to combine very strong data analysis capabilities, drawing the right conclusions and driving implementation of recommended action items based on the analysis as well as good communications and relationship building skills.

This role is highly collaborative across Microsoft organizational boundaries including worldwide sales, marketing, product group as well as operations and IT teams.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have:
demonstrated strong capabilities in using customer data analysis to define trends and translate these into actionable recommendations to increase revenue and / or marketing effectiveness
the ability to define the teams CI/CRM strategy and drive its implementation
the capability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
experience in keeping team(s) focused on priority projects and drive these to conclusion.
Strong communications and relationship building skills with the field

The ideal candidate will possess 6-8+ years of experience in a role that heavily relied on solid data analysis to drive revenue. The person must be a self-starter who can effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, and has experience working with multiple levels within organizations.

Education: Four Year college degree in Business or Scientific discipline. MBA from a top school preferred.
