BPM Product Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working for one of the top Financial Services companies this, Senior BPM Product Manager will define the roadmap and new functionality of the existing BPM System. 

 

This current workflow system is used throughout the company and with some external clients, and it is in the process of adding key new functionality that will be defined by this individual.

 

Position Responsibilities

 


  • Market and customer research as it applies to new feature/function

  • Research into the industry and competitive best practices as it applies to new feature/function

  • Identification of the major feature opportunities and extracting requirements for those areas from customers and experts

  • Business justification for investment into these areas, such as business case and ROI analysis

  • Definition of those features in such artifacts as scenarios, user stories and functional design documents

  • Closely working with Delivery organization to define specifications, gather costs, conduct trade-off’s and deliver according to plan

  • Presenting functionality to executive management, customers and externals

  • Support of Sales and Solutions organizations in prepping functionality for success in the market

  • On-going monitoring of the metrics for success in these new areas, such as quality, adoption, customer satisfaction and process improvement

  • Advocacy of product and particularly new functionality, by leading the vision, building enthusiasm, and developing the framework for successful client launches

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience

 


  • A BS in Engineering with some Business education or skills (e.g. ROI analysis) is desired.

  • The right individual will have 7-10 years experience in the product management of software products (business analysis or applications design/development roles also acceptable).

  • The candidate MUST have direct experience with Business Process Management Systems (BPMS), Workflow systems/engines, and/or rules-driven systems.

  • Experience with the tools and application of Process Modeling, Process Execution and Process Monitoring lifecycle is key.

Skills and Knowledge

 


  • It is preferable that this person have direct product management, general management, business analysis (or equivalent) experience with a BPMS software product, such as Pegasystems, Webmethods, IBM Websphere, Lombardi and similar. 

  • Have experience in consulting or outsourcing companies that have direct, hands-on experience in the design of solutions used in automating and optimizing processes.

  • This person should be senior and consultative in their approach, but ready to work directly with customer- and engineering-side in ensuring the successful definition and delivery of winning functionality.
