The Unified Communications Group is a rapidly growing business at Microsoft and one of its future big bets. The team is delivering exciting new products and services such as voice solutions, audio/video conferencing, voice mail, email and instant messaging, and innovative devices and peripherals.
The UC Marketing Team is looking for an experienced product manager to work closely with our Voice field organization to build our sales capabilities and scale our sales capacity for Voice solutions. This is an exciting and challenging position within Microsoft with significant exposure to the fast growing Voice and Unified Communications market. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Microsoft field organization as well as across the UC marketing team to drive both short-term and long-term business objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Growing our field sales organization by developing programs to recruit, hire and train new field team members
- Driving the Voice field training programs including new hire training camps and annual field sales summit
- Developing the sales playbooks, guidance and targeting programs to coordinate and focus field sales efforts
- Creating the territory and accounting planning guidance and tools to support field sales teams
- Developing sales process guidance and capturing best practices to improve field sales effectiveness
- Producing win wire reports and other communications to build the field sales community and sharing
- Developing sales manager meeting programs and content
The ideal candidate will have:
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability collaborate across organizational boundaries
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on-time and on-strategy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Understanding of the enterprise software sales process
- Understanding of the telecommunications industry; Voice Over IP market experience preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years of enterprise software experience
- MBA or equivalent experience preferred
