Are you an experienced broad marketer with deep communications expertise who has a passion for building new businesses - are you looking for an opportunity to tell the story, drive demand thru media engagement and influence the perception?

SBG leads the company’s efforts in launching new products to build new businesses for the company. The SBG communications strategist is responsible for creating and executing game changing approaches to public relations. You will drive business results for the division’s line-up of products including launching of new technologies and ongoing communications for Microsoft OneApp The person in this role has a proven track record of launching products, building B2C as well as B2B businesses. You know how to create messages that enable you to engage in meaningful conversations with different audiences leveraging both traditional and digital communication channels.

Working across the marketing team, and the product teams, the SBG media strategist sets the context, position the product and tells its story through dynamic media and digital approaches focused on a global basis.
Ideal candidates have a deep technology understanding and are able to easily translate and communicate technology and product vision into compelling stories that will resonate and break through with media and influencers. Explicit accountabilities for success include reach metrics, tone, message pull thru, % site traffic, and awareness/$.

Responsibilities include:
1. Drive media strategy and relations for each of the products in SBG with support from agency teams
2. Integrate seamlessly with digital communications strategies
3. Identify and realize synergies through collaboration with internal and external media teams
4. Manage senior executive communications
5. Develop content and materials for internal and external use
6. Manage agency resources and vendor support
7. All of the above in a global setting
Candidates must have at least 10+ years of proven and solid PR experience, a passion for the positive impact of technology, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrable experience in managing a portfolio of products on a global level. The candidate must have PR experience in launching new technology products and be able to demonstrate creative yet data driven results. Competency in the digital media landscape, combined with basic knowledge of Microsoft products and services and the technology industry are required.
