Management reserves the right to review and revise this document at any time.   POSITION SUMMARY:   Produce MULTIMEDIA intelligence reports for dissemination via web format, portable media formats (CDrom/DVD) or hard copy print documents to various external customers in the IC.  As a company expert, creates visually appealing graphics and writes text pertaining to the organization for the organizations web site. Utilizes HTML or similar language. Creates links to other web sites. Serves as team lead and provides guidance to less experienced staff.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Writes web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, ColdFusion, .Net, Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio.  Decides on how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web; ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities; testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions; fixing errors.  Clears copyright for the use of any existing content, liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage and finding the answers to questions about why the site is needed, who the target audience will be, who the leading competitors are, etc.  Produces a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required.  Contributes to and makes final decisions based on audience research as a basis for design of the site.  Contributes to and makes final decisions on the top-level and detailed design of the website with a particular focus on the ways in which the goals for the site and the needs of users can be met through the provision of appropriate content.  Contributes to and makes final decisions on the process of information design, to ensure that content is appropriately structured to meet the goals for the site and the needs of users.  Contributes to the selection or design of appropriate content management software.  Prepares textual content for websites (including feature articles, advertising copy, database content, links, FAQs, etc.).  Prepares textual content for e-newsletters.  Designs web forms.  Prepares textual content for distribution as SMS messages.  Prepares scripts for audio voiceovers, for downloading from the site or distribution as podcasts.  Specifies the multimedia content needed to support or work alongside textual content.  Locates and selects appropriate, existing multimedia content, including still images, animations, music and video.  Liaises with multimedia specialists in the creation of any new multimedia content.  Edits copy received from additional content contributors.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:   Must possess a strong knowledge of various COTS applications to include: Power Point Corel Draw 12 Adobe Illustrator 2 Photoshop CS2 FrameMaker 5.5 Premier (video editing) After Effects (video editing) Macromedia Studio 8   Must have 6 years experience using the COTS applications along with 6 years experience in HTML coding and commercial web-design applications.   Typically requires bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience.   SECURITY CLEARANCE:   Must possess TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph security clearance.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
