We are also managing Microsoft Financing - captive financing arm of MS - 3rd largest in the global IT sector with $2B of annual originations.
WWLP is comprised of a comprehensive set of business functions: product management, licensing program development, IT platforms and tools, marketing, field readiness, pricing, captive financing and global business desk.
The Role
The Business Planning & Communications Manager position is a part of WWLP Business Management Office, reporting to WWLP Business Manager.
The role is responsible for developing and managing Worldwide Licensing and Pricing (WWLP) internal communications. The two primary areas of responsibility are managing the internal WWLP employee experience through appropriately timed, targeted and positioned communications and driving WWLP’s engagement with key stakeholders.
Business Planning & Communications Manager would work closely with WWLP executives and broadly with Microsoft executives to promote the WWLP strategic direction -- messaging targeted audiences including all levels of WWLP employees, managers, Microsoft executives and business leaders. The ability to craft compelling, well-timed communications is critical. The Business Planning & Communications Manager would carry the fundamentals of the messaging through business and strategy communications to drive perceptions, educate, and influence audiences.
The Core Job Responsibilities
Design and develop the internal communication plan. This includes setting the goals of the communication plan, determining right approach and process to reach the appropriate audiences and to monitor impact and results of the communications to drive improvement of WWLP perception and business impact.
Aligning the plan with WWLP RoB, strategic and FY plans, SLT travel schedule, goals of WWLP Scorecard (in close coordination with Business Manager and Business Planning & Execution Manager).
Responsible for information design, including selecting the right medium, context, and structure, to create the most effective communication while employing the most compelling assets.
Manage the employee communication experience for the organization, including driving on-boarding/exit experience plan, and production/facilitation of All Hands events.
On-going production (as needed) of executive presentations, decks, e-mails, interviews, videos etc.
Managing WWLP internal SharePoint site
Identify and plan communication opportunities with WWLP’s stakeholders that support the WWLP strategic plan.
Align and coordinate with the external WWLP and Volume Licensing Business Marketing & Communications group.
This role will also manage external vendors on content, design and production work as needed.
Qualifications:
BA required, communications related degree preferred, MBA preferred,
8+ years relevant business experience,
Outstanding verbal and written communication,
Communication style ranging from high-touch messaging to structured & business oriented content.
Demonstrated strategic communications skills,
Ability to work effectively within all levels of the organization, from executives to individual contributors,
Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills,
Manages confidentiality without exception; demonstrates outstanding judgment,
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously,
Excellent cross group collaboration,
Power user of SharePoint, PowerPoint, Live Meeting and other communication technologies,
