Our client, a major international law firm, is seeking a Senior Communications Manager. Reporting to the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer, the successful candidate will oversee and produce print, electronic, and web-based communications. Located in New York or Philadelphia, the position is responsible for a host of activities including, but not limited to, the following:
- writing, designing and producing collateral materials
- assisting in the development of communications plans to
help build the firm’s businesses
- identification of targets and messaging goals across all of
the firm’s relevant markets
- overseeing content for, and management of, the firm’s external
website
- assisting each of the practice groups with their marketing plans
in the context of the communications function
- overseeing a small group focused on graphic design and
editorial activities
The successful candidate will be an excellent writer with a minimum of ten years of experience in the professional services category. A four year college degree in a relevant major is required, advanced degree (preferably J.D.) preferred.
This position has recently been modified to place more emphasis on the successful candidate’s abilities as a writer/editor, and less emphasis on the development of the firm’s overall strategic/branding activities.
