Key responsibilities and challenges for this key leadership role include:
Responsible for leading Marketing for multiple business lines in excess of $250M annually for the QuickBooks financial software line
Lead marketing strategy to drive optimal business results, including customer segmentation, product positioning, messaging, demand creation, acquisition, retention and cross & up sell
Drive revenue and growth through the identification and successful implementation of new offering & market opportunities, business models and technologies, marketing campaigns, channel development, business models innovation
Create delightful product and customer experiences for our base of ~4 million small business customers
Define and create great customer shop-use-buy experience for targeted market segments and customers that drives sales and inspires customers to tell others about it
Understand market and customer needs - identify and prioritize biggest market and customer opportunities to drive current period revenue - develop deep, actionable understanding of shop and buy experience and needs for different market segments
Develop marketing strategy and plans to optimize mix of marketing levers and resource allocation to deliver desired outcomes. Plans to include offering line-up and emphasis, channels, pricing, branding, choice and emphasis of marketing and media levers, resulting impact on key metrics and financial results
Develop tailored highly persuasive messaging for targeted market segments.

Qualifications: 10 - 15 years of marketing leadership experience in delivering marketing strategies that deliver on both short and long-term business objectives.
A clear track record of leading dramatic growth through successful marketing strategies and execution for a company selling technology-related products/services.
A world-class marketer with a proven track record of success in strong product marketing driven companies and proven history of bringing new products to market based on unmet customer needs, and translating those insights into effective strategies.
Excellent business acumen - ability to quickly learn and translate those learnings to execution.
Partnering and collaboration - track record of success working and influencing effectively across functional lines to drive results.
Communication – ability to clearly and simply articulate ideas, framing problems and solutions.
Market and customer focused - passionate about understanding unique characteristics of the market and customer shop-and-buy behaviors.
Strategic thinker - the ideal candidate will combine classic strategic marketing skills with experience in multi-channel marketing/distribution of practical products and services.

Minimum Bachelors Degree with advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MA)
