Product Development Manager

Snapware has an exciting opportunity for you to manage our new product development at our corporate headquarters in Mira Loma California.

In this role you will oversee new product development activities and will be responsible for the creation, development and execution of new product ideas from concept through launch. You will work closely with the Marketing/Sales and Manufacturing Operations team to develop and execute new product launches on time and on budget and ensure a continuous flow of innovative new product ideas. 

Primary responsibilities:

• Manage the new product development process, from concept through launch


• Lead new product development communications, both inter-departmentally and for all external resources


• Stay abreast of trends and developments within the industry, including manufacturing, technology, materials, competitive, retail and consumer trends and developments.


• Manage consumer research projects, including assessing need, key attributes, value differentiators and price points


• Source and manage outside business partners and manufacturers

Experience Profile:

• BA/BS degree is required.  MBA preferred.


• 10+ years in a management role with at least 7 years of hands-on NPD experience for a high volume consumer products company
  
  
  
  • Strong project management and scheduling experience required
  
  
  • Experience managing industrial design consultants, consumer research firms and other external resources required
  
  
  • Manufacturing background required.  Experience with plastic, glass or other house ware products manufacturing needed.
  
  
  
  


• Fluent in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Internet media
