Supervisor: SVP – Operations & Delivery
The Senior Statistician will provide analytic and clinical expertise for data analysis and scientific study. They will lead analyses evaluating the impact of healthcare specific services. A key focus of this role will be to publish and present findings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide analytic and clinical expertise to support company products and programs.
• Perform, present and publish advanced scientific data analyses.
• Work with internal/external databases, customers, & vendors to collect/manage relevant data.
• Prepares & presents findings with clear storylines to communicate key conclusions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of requirements determination, data organizational structures, testing approaches, reporting deliverables, and relevant healthcare issues and industry initiatives.
• Maintain an awareness and understanding of developments in statistical techniques, research principles and methodologies relevant to healthcare program assessment.
• Collaborate and develop close working relationships with stakeholders across the organization and industry.
• Participate in client meetings and industry conferences.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and healthcare requirements
Skills and Requirements
· M.S. and/or Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Biostatistics. Other disciplines may be considered (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Theoretical Physics, Quantitative Social Sciences, Information Systems)
· 5 years postgraduate experience in statistical analysis
· Strong healthcare analysis background and experience
· Experience working in/with government agencies preferred.
· Knowledge of current healthcare trends advanced healthcare reporting methodologies such as Episodes of Care and Risk Adjustment and HEDIS
· Critical thinker with strong analytic modeling and technical skills
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional SAS, SQL, Excel, Access, Oracle, Unix Scripts and data management skills
