JOB DESCRIPTION
The Corporate Alcohol Department, located in Pleasanton, California, has an opening for a Director, Corporate Merchandising.
Qualifications:
* 4 year college degree (preferably in business) or equivalent Alcohol industry experience.
* 3 years retail backstage management experience including sales planning, buying and category management.
* 5 years retail store and field merchandiser experience.
* Project management and implementation experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Persuasive presentation skills.
* Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong leadership & motivation skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to accept change and be a proponent of change in meeting customers needs, as well as needed business changes.
* Ability to deliver desired sales, gross profits and expense controls.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Direct company wide Alcohol sales and marketing implementation for all divisions.
* Direct Managers of Division Operations, and Division LQ. Field Merchandisers.
* Develop strategic initiative plans for all divisions Alcohol operations and includes shrink reduction, and execution.
* Develop merchandising and display programs for all divisions.
* Present new concepts and programs to Alcohol Directors, VP and SRVP.
* Report key information to buying staff, sales and marketing staff and divisions to assist in managing sales objectives.
* Direct all division specific merchandising programs for Alcohol.
* Develop and institute policy and procedure changes.
* Collaborate with Consumer Demand and Category Management to ensure divisions receive complete programs and communications.
* Collaborate with Store Stocking and Lifestyle teams on all remodels, and resets.
* Manage Tasting Programs in ALL Divisions.
* Manage Beverage Steward program, including master scheduling.
* Manage execution, retail, supplier and wholesaler.
* Develop and implement training materials with Human Resources Development.
* Travel required: 70%.
