Senior Technical Writer IT / 095317

Senior Technical Writer responsible for multiple project documentation, validation and verification, publication management and execution. Reviews existing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance within documentation standards. Is familiar with and utilizes CMMI Level 5 documentation processes. Edits, writes, and/or rewrites publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively research findings, technical developments, and other news and information to a wide range of external audiences. Interprets and administers documentation/communication policies and procedures. Develops and maintains documentation templates and checklists. Provides guidance to other team members on the use of documentation standards and procedures. Serves as a mentor to other tech writer staff, and serves as senior technical writer for the program to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications. Exercises quality control over internal and external documents intended for distribution. Position will be located in Stafford, VA The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Bachelors degree with 15 years experience or Masters with 13 years experience. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office. U.S. Citizenship required. Top Secret clearance required. Relocation Assistance Available. Security Clearance Required.
