JOB DESCRIPTION

Litle & Co. is seeking a high-powered, analytical Vice President of Marketing who will report to the Executive Vice President of Product, Sales & Marketing.  He/she will oversee all aspects of the company’s outbound and inbound marketing activities, including corporate marketing, partner/channel marketing, product marketing, and the telesales organization.  This individual will be a key contributor in driving the Company’s efforts to position itself as a visionary and market leader for its business to business SAS services, while making payment processing technology more valuable, usable and transparent to its customers.  The new VP will lead the Marketing team in long-term strategic thinking and developing imaginative initiatives that are executed at the highest level of quality.


 


Responsibilities:





  • Develop strategic plans for corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration, and related product positioning.



  • Develop and implement direct mail and customer acquisition programs.



  • Research trends and technologies in the direct marketing space to ensure that the company’s solutions meet the customers’ ever-changing needs.



  • Create marketing programs that popularize the company’s services to targeted C-Level and below buyers.



  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Sales to ensure that Sales Directors have the necessary product collateral and advertising materials to represent and promote the company’s services.



  • Manage all aspects of marketing communications, including product positioning and branding, public relations, advertising, telesales, white papers, trade shows, collateral materials for seminars and events, market research, and website content and design.



  • Lead the marketing team to maintain productive partnerships with internal team members, facilitating a smooth transition from lead generation to the closing of sales and retention of valued customers.



  • Develop and manage the company’s marketing budget.



  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.



  • Recruit team members.  Develop Position Profile and Position Description.  Initiative recruiting plan.



  • Lead regularly scheduled meetings resulting in motivated team members with new ideas.

  • Provide coaching and training commensurate with individual’s competency level and development needs.

  • Plan and implement incentive strategies (contests, bonuses and rewards)


 


Requirements:





  • BS required and 10+ year proven track record of success in marketing leadership roles selling business to business technologies and/or services.



  • Demonstrable success in creating strong product differentiation in a highly competitive market.



  • Experience in strategic planning and execution of complex marketing initiatives.



  • Ability to plan and manage at strategic and operational levels.



  • Exceptional history of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that consistently meet or exceed planned objectives, while providing personal leadership through distinguished example.



  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff in order to create a results-driven, team-oriented, and dynamic environment.



  • Ability to lead and influence executives to function as a cohesive team.



  • Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and competitive business strategy.



  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.



  • Payment processing industry experience is a plus.



  • Experience working with SalesForce or other CRM preferred.



  • Experience building a marketing organization at rapid growth companies.

  • Proven ability to develop and refine compensation and incentive plans.

  • Proven ability to plan and manage profit and loss.

  • Superb public speaking skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel; ability to develop and manage spreadsheets.

  • Team player; ability to partner with VP’s of Sales to ensure productive relationships between departments.
