Group Description -
Part of the Network Development team whose goals are:
Fuel and scale the Microsoft Media Network through an optimal mix of 3rd party media partnerships
Provide best-in-class account management of 3rd party publisher partnerships across our platform and media network
Advocate, share best practice and co-ordinate multi-market deals at a global level
Create a worldwide community of practice among media sourcing personnel
Facilitate maximum uptake of sales engagement across portfolio of 3rd party inventory
Drive monetization of long-term 3rd party media deals
The backfill hire will be involved mostly in the last 2 aspects of Network Development activity.

Third- party inventory sourcing and monetization are core to scaling our business. The combined IND/DE team is central to our efforts. . Not only are we focused on helping the online business achieve profitable growth, we are at the forefront of the way in which we achieve that growth, ensuring that we become leaders in a market that will likely consolidate.
There is tremendous opportunity to foster this growth, with tangible, financial results that readily reflect our success. With growth there will be opportunities to elevate the new hire’s exposure within APS and the broader Online Services group. There are further career development opportunities within the Network Development team, (from media sourcing to partner management) and additional options within the Publisher Business group in business development and product management. The path through this team is clear in terms of the next step up being management of the combined IND/DE function, with the Network Development leadership being the next step up from there.
Roles & Responsibilities -
Coordinate within and outside of group to drive forward the DE and International aspects of the team’s goals
Serve as a point of contact for all markets for Demand Enablement and 3rd party related issues for the Network Development team
Facilitate cross-group collaboration across of variety of project-based work
Engage with multiple teams/types of people and cultures while executing diverse responsibilities
Partner with all available channels and teams to successfully communicate with field sales and advocate the resale of the inventory
Works in conjunction with Sourcing Team, Publisher Partners and GTM/Product Marketing to produce “marketing” materials to convey a compelling value proposition on behalf of third-party publisher inventory to field sales (e.g. slides, newsletter copy, collateral, incentive campaigns, etc.)
Assist Supply Intelligence in their efforts to regularly report on performance of third-party publisher inventory (sell-through, revenue, profitability), driving global coverage and consistency
Driving new International media opportunities to execution through co-ordination with various stakeholders and global teams
Enhance global sourcing team community and knowledge sharing through media buying and demand enablement best practice distribution
This is an individual contributor role with annual commitments aligned to the team’s broader commitments.
Success is execution of responsibilities and project work in a timely, efficient manner while sharing strategic insights and helping to craft and shape global strategies
There is opportunity for plenty of visibility outside of the immediate team due to the cross-group work, and engagement globally as well as large, highly important projects to drive strategic thinking to its end-state
Qualifications -
Candidate must have 6+ years of online advertising or marketing experience, a proven track record of success, project management skills, a blend of analytical and creative skills, personable, relationship building skills, appreciation for cultural differences, sales or product exposure, presentation-building skills, excel proficiency,
