Holcim (US) seeks a Vice President of Communications at our United States headquarters in Waltham, MA (just west of Boston).


 


As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordination and execution of all internal and external communications for Holcim US.   Key responsibilities include speech writing, media, spokesperson, stakeholder engagement and communications plan execution.


 


Key Responsibilities:


 



  • Functions as HUS spokesperson on key business issues and crisis management

  • Create, implement and oversee external communication strategies, practices, process that effectively promotes and protects Holcim’s external reputation

  • Work closely with Branding, Government Affairs and Legal on a daily/weekly basis

  • Liaison to parent company Holcim Ltd on relevant Communications issues

  • Expand understanding of the organization’s business, performance and strategy with external audiences

  • Prepares summaries of media activity for senior management

  • Manages external communications consultant(s) within CEO approved budget


 


Must Haves:


 



  • 10-15 years experience working in a corporate communications and/or Agency environment

  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills

  • An undergraduate degree is required.   An advanced degree is desirable

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

  • Knowledge and experience in web development, including web editing. Desktop publishing would be an asset


 


Other Related Experiences:


 



  • Environmental/green experience a plus

  • Manufacturing Industry experience preferred; global experience a plus

  • Supervisory experience
