JOB DESCRIPTION

Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. is a leading disaster recovery (natural and man-made disasters) and construction company.  The company was founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1976 and has grown to be one of the largest companies in its industry.  Ceres has been awarded contracts totaling over $700 million in disaster recovery work during the past eight years providing demolition, construction, and environmental services for a variety of governmental agencies.  Ceres also has many pre-position contracts valued up to $100 million each in various regions, on which task orders can be issued in the event of a disaster in a given area. 


 


The company is headquartered in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota with offices in Florida, Texas, and Louisiana.


 


Duties:



  • To maintain and expand customer base and provide new marketing strategy and execution for Ceres Environmental Services, Inc.

  • Development of a sales and marketing plan to increase current customer base/sales.

  • Expand company’s revenue base through development of long-term projects and meeting company goals.

  • Manage the staffing of tradeshows/conferences.

  • Assisting with the initial response to storms.

  • Establishing and growing pre-event contracts.

  • Providing quality contacts within assigned geographic areas related to Ceres becoming a prime contractor.

  • Scheduling meetings with top decision makers in different cities, counties, and municipalities.

  • Technical sales to assist potential clients with a problem solving ability.

  • Update company sales materials (Statement of Qualifications, brochures, advertising, specification sheets, or PowerPoint presentations).

  •  Monitor competition and look for openings to market product.

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

  • Assist with proposal writing and cost estimating.

  • Develop and implement promotion plan, target call list, or organize facility tours to key target groups.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills/Requirements:



  • Bachelors Degree in Sales or Marketing or similar field of expertise, MBA desirable.

  • 7+ years experience in Sales or Marketing field.

  • Experience selling/working with Government, Cities, Counties, Municipalities, a plus.

  • Polished presentation and tradeshow skills. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong ability to meet and exceed all sales and/or forecasted goals.

  • Ability to work in team environment or individually and be a self-starter/self-motivator.

  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
