This International Marketing Capabilities (IMC) econometrician position is responsible for helping to develop analytical infrastructure and statistical capabilities to enhance business results and decision making in marketing. Primary accountabilities include the development of statistical analysis and modeling to improve:• Offer or marketing initiative targeting including predictive modeling and data mining • Defining high potential segments • Creating test designs for marketing initiatives using a wide variety of methodologies to support potentially complex experimental settings• Designing tracking plans for each initiative to ensure the appropriate feedback loop for optimization• Data driven simulation and optimization support for granular marketing investment strategies and marketing partner compensation decisions• Driving definition of standardized end to end metrics and portfolio level tracking processes for marketing channelsCandidates will be expected to pass a technical interview of econometric proficiency as well as demonstrate appropriate business and programming aptitude. The candidate should possess training or experience as follows:• A PhD or MSc (with thesis or other independent research project) in Economics or Applied/Agricultural Economics; PhD is preferred. • Statistical modeling to include limited dependent variable models and wide understanding of maximum likelihood, instrumental variables and least squares methods as well as more complex estimation techniques • Experience with applied econometric work including solving problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner, coping with censoring/truncation, and identifying heteroskedasticity and other violations of CNR assumptions.• Sampling theory, hypothesis testing and basic test design: proficiency with more complex settings is desired e.g. unbalanced panel designs, fractional factorial design• Working knowledge of and practical coding experience with statistical analysis programming languages such as SAS, Gauss, STATA, or LIMDEP, etc Candidate will be expected to write raw code independently and quickly build strong proficiency in SAS. The successful candidate is expected to stay current in their field and up to date with the latest applied microeconomics and econometric techniques.
