JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Reporting to the SVP, Marketing or the CMO, the VP of Digital will play the lead role in transforming the company into the leader in digital marketing for legal services and a leader in digital marketing across all industry categories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driver of digital strategy across all digital channels. Articulation of overall roadmap for marketing, site assets, social and emerging media, and leadership in development of company capabilities to become best in class as above
- Visible and vocal representation of the digital channel throughout the company—and creation of productive linkages with service operations, IT, legal, finance to infuse digital thinking and leadership throughout the organization
- Lead digital team and shape it to create optimal balance of insourced/outsourced resources across key capabilities—SEM, SEO, Site Build, Content, Social, Email, Mobile, etc. and drive these capabilities to be best in class
- Management of a large network of sites, from the corporate sites to product specific resource centers
- Oversight and contribution to social media growth and presence in B2B and B2C marketing
- Planning and management of $10MM B2C and B2B interactive marketing budget
- Management of external vendors, including offshore partners
- Creation of/contribution to digital analytics products that serve as a “single source of truth” for digital progress and integrate with other analytics tools developed for the company as a whole
- Technology and tools stewardship in partnership with IT
- Constant “hands-on” optimization to assure that Lead and Signed Case objectives are being met
- Strategic leadership on media mix and optimization issues for the business overall
- Budget management
- Development and growth of direct reports and department personnel overall
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required Master’s Degree preferred
- Client side experience preferred over agency.
- Previous experience building and creating an interactive channel or capability for a Fortune 500, B2C organization required; must demonstrate success and innovation in marketing efforts
- Prior P&L responsibilities
- Experience managing 5+ direct reports, vendors, and offshore
- Experience in direct and acquisition marketing environment, with ability to influence all lead generation and management processes
- Proficiency with data manipulation analysis and report presentation
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills
