Responsible for product management and product development objectives for designated Connected Home Solution product lines. Provide leadership to the business in overall strategic planning and future business positioning.
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
*Generate and maintain five year strategic roadmap for product line, documenting strategies, utilization of resources, impact on business results and action plans required to develop and maintain market leadership for the business.
*Lead and develop business strategies to optimize short and long range business performance in terms of profitability, sales and market penetration for assigned product line
*Recommend and manage implementation of new and innovative ideas in products, functions and applications to serve customer needs and maintain competitive market leadership.
*Plan, substantiate and recommend product pricing volume and revenue forecasts and required investments for assigned product line(s) consistent with strategic business objectives and competitive market positioning.
*Consistently improve financial and operational performance of assigned product line(s), including, but not limited to gross margin, inventory turns, sales growth, and market share.
*Responsible for effective communication to senior level management through a thorough understanding of product line strategies, positioning, priorities and customer requirements.
*Develop and maintain key competitive intelligence, including product comparisons, purchase recommendations, performance benchmarking, channel activities, and technology utilization.

*College Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. MBA preferred
*At least 7 years of experience in product marketing, brand marketing, business planning or category management
*New product development experience in electronics, software or other technical industry required .
*Demonstrated success in innovative long range strategic planning and creative problem solving .
*Must have demonstrated capability to understand technical product issues, interact effectively with channel partners, and manufacturing and engineering personnel
*Familiarity with multiple channels of distribution and global markets
*Demonstrated business and financial acumen
*Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment .
*Strong project management skills
