Travelex Global Business Payments is the business payments division of the Travelex Group, headquartered in Washington DC.  With over 35,000 corporate customers and operations in over 35 countries worldwide, Travelex is a recognized world leader in the payments industry.


 

Following the acquisition of Ruesch International in 2007, the business has been restructured to capitalize on the growing business payments market in the region and is now looking for an exceptionally talented product management and pre-sales professional with strong analytical skills to join the Global Product team.  This new role will be based in Washington DC and focused on supporting our sales activity and product strategy in the US and Canada.


 


Overview


 


We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a Product Manager/Sales Consultant within our Global Business Payments division. 


 


In this role, the individual will be responsible for product management and customer presales and implementation support for all TGBP customer facing products.  The individual will provide input into our global product strategy and will be responsible for product communication, sales readiness and product marketing in North America.  The role will report directly to the SVP of Global Product Management.


 


As our products move toward deeper levels of integration with our corporate customers this individual must be able to communicate business process effectively as well as system based support of a more technical nature to our client based business and IT teams.


 


Key Duties and Responsibilities



  • Primary point of reference / conduit for the North American TGBP sales teams and Marketing on product related issues or questions

  • Work with North American sales in the pre-sales cycle and helping to close new prospects.

  • Effective communication of the product strategy and solution through product demo’s and presentations.  

  • Project management for new or existing strategic customer implementations.

  • Provide scheduled and Ad-Hoc training of external customers and internal sales on our systems and processes including current and future functionality.

  • Ensure all pre-sales activity is logged correctly in our CRM platform and is followed through in accordance with departmental procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel both internally and externally

  • Able to work on a cross-functional team to translate customer needs and business directions into product definitions

  • Participate in the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of enhancements and bug fixes to systems as required.

  • Participate in the identification and tracking of common user issues and trends; suggest improvements to prevent recurrence.

  • Maintain effective relationships with all other relevant teams to maximize and sustain service quality for all customers.

  • Producing, contributing and maintaining sales training and process documentation.

  • Apply commercial acumen to all business solutions whilst continually driving activities that add value to the business, our customers and our people.


 


 


Relative Experience



  • Experience within a business to business sales environment, in a proactive product management and business support role.

  • Experience supporting Internet based technologies or digital platform.

  • Experience in supporting a solution selling sales team, preferably in the finance, IT or related industries.

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to independently resolve software issues.

  • Can demonstrate that their actions helped drive sales results.

  • Analytical capacity and innovative problem-solving skills.

  • Strong customer service skills in a high activity department.

  • Team player approach with the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Capacity to remain calm under ‘fire-fighting’ situations.

  • Strong references – previous employers and customers.

  • French or Spanish Business Speaking (a plus)

  • College / university education.

Other requirements:


 


Minimum of 3 years business to business product management, sales and/or solution sales experience in Canada and/or USA



  • Produced sales content/whitepapers

  • The candidate must have a work permit and will be required to travel to meet the business needs (30-40%)
