JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Partners Director, Direct Acquisition is the primary owner of developing the strategy for our Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and shopping channels that drive customer acquisition and sales outside of our infomercial business. The Director, Direct Acquisition will build and manage an internal team and work with external vendors to plan and execute all aspects of these key programs. This role is accountable for meeting customer acquisition targets, revenue goals and cost targets, timely reporting, anti-piracy programs and developing and driving strategy for future search initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee short and long term objectives, plans and strategies to grow SEM, SEO, Amazon and comparison shopping programs with a focus on ROI and customer acquisition metrics.
• Influence conversion through messaging, promotion, and landing page optimization
• Manage internal and external resources/vendors to meet marketing program goals, deadlines and revenue and cost targets
• Identify opportunities to increase relevance, optimization/conversion and attract relevant customers with both critical SEM and SEO techniques
• Apply rigorous direct marketing principles and testing discipline to effectively maximize return on investment by leveraging results and analysis. Analyze data and trends in conjunction with the strategic analysis group and develop appropriate strategies based on that data
• Use key SEO principles to enhance and further develop anti-Piracy initiatives
• Collaborate with key partners within the Web team to maximize all areas creatively and work with other key functional areas to meet overall marketing program goals and deadlines
• Always be up to date on the latest trends and best practices in the industry 
• Help define website content needs and oversee its development with proper SEO methodologies
• Work with internal teams in online anti-piracy initiatives
• Develop comprehensive linking strategies to support presence of multiple brands and fitness personalities
• Develop plans to support new product launches and company initiatives
• Assist in development of annual business plan for online optimization programs


 


Requirements:


• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years online marketing experience with a strong knowledge of online best practices
• ?6+ years in key areas including SEO, SEM, comparison shopping engines, and re-targeting
• Understand the major factors that influence organic search crawling, indexing and keyword ranking
• Proven track record for successfully improving both individual rankings for keyword/phrases and improving overall site traffic through widescale application of best practices 
• Ability to manage external vendors, articulating program goals, while trouble shooting problems and conflict resolution
• Managing and being responsible for significant budget responsibility
• Project-oriented, entrepreneurial, pro-active, creative and self-motivated work style
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering superior results within given deadlines ?
• Strong ability to identify business issues, formulate plans to resolve these issues, and effectively communicate the results to senior management
• Strong written, presentation, creative, strategic thinking, analytical, and relationship management skills
• Technically-savvy; able to bridge marketing and business with web development
