JOB DESCRIPTION

Harris Interactive serves clients globally through our North American, European and Asian offices and a network of independent market research firms.
Our directors are responsible for leading, managing and growing the brightest teams of research talent. They hold important client-facing roles, leading some of Harris Interactives most innovative studies. Their role includes designing, proposing, directing and analyzing results from qualitative and quantitative research, often applying advanced proprietary research tools. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret research findings so that clients benefit from actionable insights. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Manage a team of researchers and a series of research projects including designing, proposing, pricing, managing and analyzing surveys
- Consistently attainment of business results
- Manage revenues of $.5M to $1M
- Identify new opportunities
- Build and cultivate key client relationships
- Create and present proposals to partners
- Design and implement market research methods for product development, customer assessments and marketing surveillance, both domestically and globally
- Provide marketing strategy recommendations to clients, helping them to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Establish and maintain an overall strategic marketing plan designed to build awareness of research capabilities
- Mentor junior researchers, orienting them to strategic frames of analysis
- Continuously engage clients in consultative dialogue on their business needs
- Masters or PhD degree preferred in market research, social sciences, or statistics
- 6-8 years of research experience, including a solid understanding of quantitative methods, preferably in health policy
- A working knowledge of statistical software and research supplier experience is a plus
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of projects, exceptional analytical capabilities and consulting skills
- A solid statistical background along with a working knowledge of multivariate analysis; data modeling experience a plus
- Ability to apply qualitative research findings
- Must have an interest or experience in selling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
