Director of Product Planning for Targeting

Role

Microsoft Search and Media Network team is seeking an outstanding candidate to lead product planning for targeting on the Microsoft Media Network. Microsoft’s targeting capabilities include behavioral targeting, profile targeting, re-messaging and many other forms of user-targeting that enable advertisers to run highly relevant ads targeted to the exact audience they are seeking to reach. Product planning for targeting involves identifying new opportunities to increase the revenue generated by our targeting capabilities, continuously increasing advertiser usage of targeting, finding ways to make targeting even more relevant etc. In this role you will define the vision for targeting and collaborate with the engineering team, sales and marketing as well as other product managers to execute on that vision. You will be responsible for evangelizing the targeting vision to internal and external partners and communicating product progress to senior executives and customers.

Responsibilities

Research competitors and market trends
Evaluate and prioritize new product opportunities
Analyze advertiser feedback and requirements
Define product vision and usage scenarios
Work with engineering to deliver products improvements
Define and monitor product KPIs

Qualifications

BS in technical field
MBA or 5+ years of product management experience
Experience with online display - particularly user-level targeting is a plus
Track record of executing projects and launching products
Ability to forecast market opportunity, revenue, costs, key business drivers
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Entrepreneurial experience a plus
