Sr. Product Marketing Mgr, MSN Brand Display Product Marketing

Help Microsoft realize the potential of online advertising! The APS Business Group connects the dots between our online advertising sales team and the products groups/publishers we represent. The Brand Display Product Marketing team is responsible for managing the MSFT Brand display advertising business by driving revenue and long-term value off of our publishing assets, empowering our sales force as partners for our customers, and enabling positive customer experiences for our advertisers and agencies. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager on the team, you will drive the ad business for one of our key vertical sites (MSN Autos) plus one of our emerging properties (MSN Health).

This role will allow you to engage deeply with the US MSN Media teams, APS product development, sales, and adjacent Business Group teams specializing in yield & business analysis, ad product innovation and marketing communications. You’ll use your understanding of online advertising and monetization to influence your product’s commercial opportunity, form the value proposition and sales strategy, orchestrate the rollout of new initiatives to our sales organization and provide accountability for the success of your initiatives through regular analysis of revenue and market trends.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following key areas:
Brand Display Strategy & Value Proposition - defining the value prop for the product, ensuring it maps to both the MSN consumer value prop + the MSFT Advertising story & approach, and setting the product sales strategy
Brand Display Site Portfolio Management - including site optimization for brand display, creating and monitoring packaging performance, monitoring advertising programs for success (both individual opps + packaging programs), product group advertising evangelism
Brand Display Go-to-Market (GTM) - end-to-end owner for release of new ad products & solutions (including packages, sponsorships and sales initiatives) to sales, working across partner teams such as MSN, Trade Marketing, Inv/Yield, Industry specialists, Regional Sales Leads, and creative trafficking teams.
Voice of Customer - in collaboration w/industry specialists, aggregation of feedback from clients & sales to MSN, plus utilization of customer insight activities (research projects, client engagements) to deliver business requirements into Market Requirement Documents for future product development
Business Management - telling the story behind our business performance at product reviews driving annual revenue projections and insight into product group planning & roadmaps ensuring ongoing close coordination between sales and product development
Brand Display Subject Matter Experts - SME for ongoing sales engagement, provide content and be available to present at major client visits & Executive Briefings, providing messaging and input for external announcements, events & PR.
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification - regular analysis of market trends, compete, and current revenue performance.

Quick decision maker - ability to decide under tight timing and pressure
Proven track record - at least 6-8 years experience in digital advertising, advertising, sales, product management and/or marketing. The ideal candidate should have experience with digital advertising marketing. BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
