The primary responsibility of this role is to provide multi-functional and strategic direction within a specific product segment.The role reports to the relevant Segment Leader within Medical Diagnostics, GE Healthcare.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategy:
-Act as the central point of accountability for a product lifecycle across the following functions: R&D, Marketing, Commercial/Sales, Quality and Supply Chain
-Lead the development and execution of global product strategy within the Segment
Financials:
-Be accountable for the product’s P&L, including revenue, operating profit ($/%) and growth
People:
-Lead a cross-functional product team, acting as primary interface between R&D, Marketing, Commercial/Sales, Quality and Supply Chain
-Provide support to attract and retain key talent; create an environment to foster employee engagement, diversity, professional development and high levels of employee satisfaction
Process:
-Act as “product champion”, engaging, inspiring and mobilizing people across functions, geographies, internally and externally, to achieve product objectives and deliver business results whilst ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements
-Develop good cross-functional relationships to ensure the needs of the customer base are understood and that the business can position itself appropriately to meet them
-Develop product roadmaps and manage the existing product ranges over their life cycle in a manner that maximizes the overall return to the company and our customers
-Lead and recommend funding for New Product Introductions (NPI)
-Drive operating mechanisms, such as toll gate reviews, to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems and EHS requirements
-Manage total product cost and overall profitability of product line
-Drive simplification with lean six sigma
Customers:
-Ensure customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in all work processes
-Improve customer loyalty and net promoter score
Qualifications/Requirements
-Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline
-10+ years cross-functional experience; deep product management, strategic marketing, and sales management experience
-8+ years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry and experience leading a business unit
-Prior experience in global leadership role with a strong track record of global results & delivery, margin accountability and strong pricing knowledge
-Strong project management skills
-Large-scale global execution and operating skills
-Excellent NCE/NPI track record
