SUMMARY: We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong medical technology expertise to lead us in the direction of next generation medical technologies that ultimately will use Molex electromechanical hardware. Identify opportunities for existing products, and recommend new products and/or potential acquisitions to further our position us as a premiere interconnect resource to the medical technology industry.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of this position is to provide data driven Market Development leadership to the organization on Regional basis.
1. Provide Medical Industry Market Development Leadership
- Identify and quantify key Industry trends that are, or could be significant to Molex strategic positioning and technology development potential
- Identify and provide Segment and Sub-Segment analysis to drive focus and prioritization decisions
- Research and summarize Technology and Product Gap potential at the sub-segment and account level
- Provide strategy recommendations with a plan, time-line, and stakeholder buy-in to complete plan
- Acts as global focal point for market plan development and summarization
- Documents and validates enough depth of data requisite to support a market plan (TAM / SAM, Account Profiles, Equipment BOMs, Channels, Technology and Business Trends, etc.).
- Establishes data driven recommendations for resources and capital needed for account coverage, program management, product needs and support functionality to succeed in the given Market / Segment:
Review recommendations with known Stakeholders for agreement to proceed
2. Provide Account Development focus & support for Mgmt agreed upon set of Accounts
- Collaborate with the given SE / DSM to develop a focus acct plan
- Identify key tier 2 & 3 accts to drive a higher focus of Molex involvement at
Provide opportunistic involvement & support for key Start-Up accts that have promising technology associated with Key Trends and Segments previously identified as important
3. Develop and drive channel strategies and tactics in sync with the identified and quantified Market & Acct strategies
- Distribution Sales & Promotion Plans
Develop focused plan targeting key EMS accts that have Medical ODM operations
4. Owner of the Medical Industry market collateral plans
- Sample Kits
- Industry Brochure
- Web-site content
- Publication Ads and Articles
- Training materials
5. Work in close relationship with field sales, Molex Operating Units, and Executive Management regionally and globally to assure acceptance of direction and recommendations.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical area of study
Preferred: Advanced degree - MBA, etc.
