Marketing and Advertising Manager – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time/exempt position
The Marketing and Advertising Manager will develop, implement and manage the company’s advertising strategy, both from a corporate and a business to business perspective. Within the corporate perspective, the manager will develop, implement and manage the Corporate Identity. This will include managing national elements of ADM’s reputation corporate brand and visual identity. Within the B to B perspective, the Manager will work with the business units to provide expertise and strategic planning on how to leverage communication tools to best accomplish objectives in their markets. This includes coordinating and assisting with marketing activities of a product or business unit which may include advertising, direct mailing, sales sheets and catalogs. It is crucial that the Manager develops and maintains favorable relationships with internal customers and will ensure that promotions produced and services provided consistently meet their needs effectively.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Defining national, stakeholder, producer and community advertising and reputational campaigns
• Working with national and local agencies to deliver effective and compelling creative execution for all reputation and brand positioning
• Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate existing and potential product markets using market research tools;
• Planning fiscal year budgets to accomplish marketing communications and advertising goals and objectives;
• Identifying and monitoring competitor intelligence;
• Reviewing market research and vendors to recommend ideal tools for the business;
• Assisting with research and development of media plans, identifying target audiences and ideal media outlets as well as recommending media mix and frequency as appropriate to budget and objectives of business;
• Communicating with a variety of external support agencies to ensure efficient management and completion of projects;
• Managing 2-3 Communications professionals.
To apply, the considered candidate must have a Bachelors degree with 7-10 years of experience in Marketing, Advertising and Brand Management (understanding of B2B marketing preferred). Candidate should also demonstrate competence in managing multiple, time-sensitive, projects at the same time, detail-orientation and excellent communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers/medias.
