This is a small company owned by a big company based out of Italy. They are turning the company around. They are seeking a Mechanical/Sales Engineer who can help them to rewrite the company. They are not competitive in the machining so they are looking to expand into new products that are in synergy with what they offer now.; They are seeking someone who can think outside the box, to find new products and market them. This is a brown field...no processes or sales plans are in place. This person will be a major part of creating and developing that plan. Start from ground zero. Must be a person with small company mentality. Must be able to wear several different hats. This company does lot’s of business in the aerospace industry. This person will contact exhisting client base to introduce new products. So must be able to divise new products and introduce to exhisting client base. Two customer support people will report to this person. Travel 25 to 50% of the time. 70% of the time spent in generation of new business. Masters Degree preferred BSMechanical Engineering a must. 5 to 15 years experience. Seeks a winner! A positive type person with the ability to multi task. Must have the ability to switch gears and work with all sorts of people in all sorts of jobs. A roll-up-your-sleeve type of person. Someone who can support the type A personalities of the two upper level managers. Energy /drive /determination are the top three things valued most in hiring an individual for this position.
This company is part of a group which is wholly owned by a larger parent company. Company has been in business since 1979 and was purchased in 1990. The goal is to double the business in the next 5 years.
This is a newly developed position. Not a refill. There are 65 employees in this company and 800 total on the parent company.
Position offers strong compensation package with $80K to 100K base, plus 30% commission, company car, expense account, benefits as follows:
Begin at day 1, 2 weeks vacation, 9 paid holidays, sick days, Blue Cross Blue Shield ($75.00 weekly for family) , Includes dental and vision, 401K. preparing for tuition reimbursement and ST/LT Disability, pay dates are every other Friday.
