Buyer - Tweens / Youth Girls

KEY REQUIREMENT:

Major Retail Apparel company seeks experienced Girls Tweens/ Youth Buyer to join growing organization. Qualified candidate will employ necessary merchandising strategies to successfully deliver specific category goals by staying current on customer purchasing and product movement trends.

Core Responsibilities:

•Build assortment plans to maximize and achieve financial goals.
•Manage financials, OTB, and markdowns.
•Analyze trends and implement, review and respond to meet customer profile.
•Collaborate with the product development and sourcing team to develop private label product.
•Source and negotiate with vendors.

Qualifications/Requirements:

•5 plus years buying experience in apparel.
•Ability to interface with all levels of staff and senior management.
•Must have strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
•Demonstrate logical analysis and problem solving skills.
•Must have a proven record of strong negotiating skills.
•Possess a clear understanding of buying strategies.
