Director Program Management  - Nuclear (REF: 7004)


 


Location :  Irvine, CA preferred. (Foxboro, MA or  Houston, TX will also be considered)




THE ROLE

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a solid understanding  of the Nuclear Controls & Safety technologies.  You will be primarily responsible for the Nuclear business medium and long term product planning working closely with Nuclear IOM team and the rest of Portfolio.


 


 


Job Description:

Plans, develops and implements marketing plans and activities including identification of market, estimates of sales volume and profits, and pricing and margin strategies/goals for specific product (lines) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.

Collaborates with a variety of functional areas to develop and provide product/program definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.


 


Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, trends and selling strategies and identifies customer needs. Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s) based on internal and external needs and capabilities, including market size, user needs and available technology.


 


Responsible for coordination of product/program development, including financial, market and technical justification for product selection and definitions.


 


Prepares and guides objectives and schedules for the development and marketing for all phases of the product/program, including new product introduction, to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.

Plans, develops and implements Sales tools and demos.

May facilitate patent action and direct international trademark application for assigned products.

May coordinate technical assistance on all assigned products, systems, and services. Makes presentations/demonstrations to sales personnel and customers that highlight features, benefits, and the application of the product(s).

Documents and disseminates appropriate product and service application information. Qualifies customer defined application with respect to assigned products and services.

Initiate document requests incorporating new product data; monitors approved documentation to assure consistency of product intent vs. design trade-offs.

Ensures documentation contains the necessary technical and strategic detail to facilitate introduction plans. Works closely with Communications and Sales personnel to ensure timely and effective development, production and use of sales plans, product promotions and technical literature.

Audit the success of new product introductions; facilitate enhancement programs, as required. Recommends customs, when required, and pursues pricing and documentation.

May conduct sales training and participate in trade shows.

May be responsible for implementing and documenting procedures and practices to maintain ISO Certification.  

Required Experience:

Must possess a minimum of 10 to 15 years in developing and implementing marketing plans in the Nuclear - automation industry, more specifically with Controls & Safety technologies


 


Strong knowledge of  the Nuclear industry as well as Controls, DCS and Safety technologies is a Mandatory.


 


BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is a Must


 


Experience with associated vendors (DCS or Instrumentation) is an Asset


 


Strong presentation skills and customer facing experience are also mandatory Assets.
