Director of eCommerce

Disc Makers, a leader in the optical media manufacturing and music marketing industries is searching for a Director of e-Commerce. Based out of our Philadelphia-area headquarters, this newly created position will be responsible for driving all current online activities, creating new web-based initiatives and seeking new technologies to improve and enhance all company brands.

Our chosen candidate will:

·         Provide key project management and direction for online marketing, website content and web design.

·         Partner with the brand leaders to establish the key strategic directions for the web in order to drive traffic, new lead acquisition and conversion and provide a better shopping experience for customers.

·         Work closely with the Marketing and IT teams to develop new technologies and applications for all brands, drive key performance indicators, improve the customer experience, and improve and maintain brand awareness through all online activities.

·         Lead the way on all new and emerging technologies, becoming our in-house expert and staying current with new developments and leads new technology initiatives for all company brands

·         Additional responsibilities include improving forecasting for individual on-line programs, meeting/exceeding revenue projections with acceptable ROI, and execution of the company’s annual web marketing plan.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum 7 yrs experience, at least 4 years of management of web channel teams.  

·         Experience in vetting and hiring programming consultants is mandatory.
BS/BA in Business or Marketing, MBA is a plus.

·         Strong management skills, ability to function well on multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

·         Strong depth of technical knowledge related to web site development and programming and other technology applications in order to work directly with internal IT team and/or outside developers.

·         Special emphasis given to candidates who possess strong creative sense, ability to create eye-catching designed programs and campaigns based on a solid understanding of each brand’s customer base.

·         Well-versed in Web tools and technologies, information design, content management systems and HTML publishing.

·         Strong understanding of consumer markets, direct marketing techniques, and new technologies.
