Director of Marketing Analytics - OABG Marketing

The Director of Analytics position is critical to the success of the Online Audience marketing team’s ability to generate and optimize world class marketing campaigns for Bing and MSN. The Director is responsible for the measurement, analysis and reporting of all marketing activity for Bing and MSN. The Director manages a team of analysts and data management experts to ensure all campaigns are measuring the correct goals, instrumentation is in place to capture all necessary data and the team is delivering quality analytics and reporting to the GTM teams in order to attain goals and optimize campaigns.
Cross team dependencies with the Central Marketing Group (CMG) and the Business Intelligence/Customer Intelligence (BI/CI) team are important to our abilities to deliver appropriate data or tracking infrastructure. To that end, it is critical that strong relationships continue and regular communication occur to ensure projects are prioritized and delivered as needed.
This role also is responsible for communicating regular campaign updates to the executive team and the broader organization. This requires taking ownership for the gathering all data across various sources and defining the key learning’s which drive the ongoing campaign optimization. The Director should also be the thought leader for analytics and campaign measurement for the organization and strive for the latest capabilities.
List of regular functions:
Direct report to the GM of Marketing and participant as a team leader
Drive thought leadership for analytics and optimization programs
Prioritize key initiatives and ensure the team is organized to cover
Consult with GTM teams to define realistic and valuable goals
Ensure Instrumentation is in place to measure key metrics
Work with CMG to measure and report offline based marketing tactics and overall marketing goals
Work with BI/CI to develop and prioritize measurement systems and custom analytics projects
Run weekly Bing campaign reviews and deliver weekly updates to the organization
Ensure the team is motivated, challenged and has the opportunity to enhance their careers
Manage analytics budget
