JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading, and highly recognized, global Search Engine Marketing agency.  They are one of only a handful of search marketing firms with active positions on the advisory councils of all three major programs, Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. They have a client renewal rate over 90% the past few years and are a fun and exciting place to work.


 


They are looking for a Director, Social Media based out of the New York office.


 


Responsibilities



  • Oversee, create and implement social media service offerings

  • Execution of all social media work

  • Create and refine processes related to sales, services, renewals, up-sells, measurement, reporting and interdepartmental campaigns for social media

  • Keep up with industry trends, identifying growth opportunities and potential partners

  • Support business development and account teams in all social media sales and presentations

  • Support marketing in development of social media case studies, white papers, research reports, blog posts, or other external assets 

  • Create and implement innovative social media campaign ideas for current accounts and prospects

  • Manage vendor relationships

  • Oversee upkeep for all social media assets, such as internal databases, documentation, reporting templates and presentations


Qualifications



  • MUST HAVE - at least 3 years experience at director level in the search/interactive space

  • MUST HAVE - at least 7 years overall business experience

  • MUST HAVE - in-depth knowledge of social media

  • MUST HAVE - agency experience or experience with fortune 1000 brands

  • MUST HAVE - managerial experience 

  • Excellent research, written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Solid MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills

  • MUST HAVE - Bachelors degree
