Key Role:
Provide agency-level technical management consulting services to NASAs Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) Program at NASA Headquarters. Develop a high-level strategic plan and roadmap to implement new targeted SCaN capabilities, including optical communications, fast forward services, and more. Work with the SCaN Commonality Task Force to identify potential commonalities for further study, coordinate and facilitate study teams, evaluate study results, and develop a recommended approach or Commonality Plan for the program. This position is located at Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, MD.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: -12+ years of experience in the NASA market, with at least 8+ of those years in the NASA GN, SN, or DSN domain -Experience with technical data gathering, analysis, and formulation of recommendations -Experience with technical writing at the NASA program or Agency level -Knowledge of SCaN networks, including Space Network, Near Earth Network, or Deep Space Network -Ability to obtain a security clearance -BA or BS degree in Engineering   Additional Qualifications: -Experience with SCaN program vision, including SCaN program plan and Architecture Definition Document -Experience with SCaN systems engineering -Experience with strategic planning -Knowledge of emerging space communications technologies, including optical communications and Delay Tolerant Networking -Knowledge of NASA procedural requirements, including NPR 7120.5D and NPR 7123.1A -Possession of excellent technical leadership skills   Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
