The purpose of the Regional Fleet and Architecture Segment Manager role is to:
1. Develop a regional strategy aligned with global vision, value proposition and regional priorities.
2. Drive delivery of Segment P&L in concert with regional organization.
by ensuring development of deep value chain understanding of the market segment within the regional organization.
Key Work Activities:
• Segment Planning
o Drive top to bottom line segment growth Create Regional Segment Plans that support the Global Plan
o Create business cases & OGSM Charters when appropriate
o Identify products to fill segment product gaps
o Build Segment package and programs
• Segment Management
o Manage End-Use based project Pipeline
o Manage End-Use based project warranty
o Manage custom prototyping
o Manage development to specs and regulation
o Develop segment specific marcom
o Track and report monthly segment financial performance
o Analyze segment product & customer profitability
o Manage RFQ /qualification processes
o Lead segment related commercialization efforts around assigned market/product development initiatives, including market trials, promotional activities, and related tasks.
o Define required communication tools and methods to convey technical product performance information internally and externally.
o Where no local product manger exists (i.e. reflective), any product management activities will be managed by segment manager.
• Business Development
o Visit Customers with the Sales Team (as required) to demonstrate capabilities
o Manage strategic alliance partners (end-users , design firms, key converters)
o Identify end-use based CTQ for product management
Minimum Requirements :
•10+ years experience in business / market development role.
• Re-evaluate ongoing tactics and make recommendations to improve performance to global and regional teams
• Thoroughly understand market segment/players and effectively communicate knowledge/insights to key stakeholders.
• Outstanding communication and relationship management skills
• Able to articulate clear end-user engagement plans
• Ability to travel within region (50%)
•Deep knowledge and experience in multi stakeholder selling cycles and related industry dynamics.
