Buyer - $B Retailer

Our client is a multi-brand, growing retailer. They have recently re-launched a new division of their company which has resulted in this expansion role for a Buyer with exception product and financial skills.

1. This position is LARGEST volume category for this brand

5. Have a major influence in developing the new classifications/categories

1. 5+ years of experience in Buying AND Product Development
2. MUST HAVE current experience in Ladies Apparel
3. Balanced mix of heavy product and financial skills
4. Visionary, entrepreneurial spirit, upscale and fashionable taste level
5. Ability to relate to 45-60 year old customer, plus size experience is a PLUS

1. Grow private label collection (all classifications) through partnership with internal design team
2. Identify trend-right products unique to the market
3. Develop assortment in addition to private label product
4. Know when to move product in and when to move it out
5. Report directly to the GMM – no layers of management to go through
