JOB DESCRIPTION

Sr. Sales Planner - Online Advertising 

The Sales Planner will work with the regional Sales Managers and Account Management team to create proposals and sales presentations in response to incoming RFPs and other Sales and AM needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in strategy discussions with internal organizations as needed (Sales, Account Management, Ad Operations, Marketing)
  • Conduct research on campaign ideas to understand consumer attitudes to the brand
  • Analyze multiple sources of external data to include in sales plan and preparation
  • Analyze and understand relevant inventory and pricing options per campaign objectives
  • Recommend media mix, frequency, and pricing as appropriate to client budget and goals
  • Prepare best in class media plans per specific requirements of RFPs and ensure on time delivery
  • Maintain a deep understanding of COMPANY inventory across all verticals
  • Maintain awareness of campaign performance analyses and optimizations as it pertains to new and ongoing RFP responses

Experience:

  • Past experience as a Planner in an online advertising environment, 2-4 years of experience
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong creative, organizational, and research skills to prepare the best presentations and follow up materials client meetings/requests
  • Experience with and understanding of a wide media mix (display, widgets, video, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience producing compelling media recommendations
  • Highly organized and motivated, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who is capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Knowledge of current ad serving technologies and capabilities
  • Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, ComScore, and other ad industry measurement tools (@Plan, Ad Relevance, NetRatings, Evaliant, etc)
