Based in Jersey City, N.J., IPC has approximately 1,000 employees throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. We are currently seeking a full time Director, Marketing. The Director of Marketing will focus on internal and external marketing strategy and execution for IPCs product and service portfolio on a global basis. The Director will be responsible for providing product lines support for program strategy, sales readiness and channel support. This position requires close interaction with Product management, product marketing and sales management. The Director will be responsible for go-to-market programs and internal communications. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of 2-3 marketers/designers focused on the development of marketing programs for the financial services industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and develop marketing product launch plans in alignment with Roadmaps defined by product management, based on buyer personas and related marketing messages
- Develop strategies, programs, activities and opportunities for lead generation
- Develop presentation strategies and demonstration
- Identification of opportunities for trading systems and network services associated with front-office trading and trading specific communication requirements
- Manage customer and prospect database
- Conduct market and customer research when applicable
- Develop and execute e-marketing programs
- Handle public relations efforts through agencies
- Manage company website and intranet
- Create mechanisms to measure ROI on marketing programs
- Review and advance of marketing requirements with product management
- Support and execute thought leadership strategy and assist in the creation of white-papers and technical communiqu’s
- Facilitate direct sales support and channel training
- Develop and create compelling direct sales and channel training strategies and activities with product management and product marketing
- Develop and create strategic copy for promotional material (internal or external through marketing agencies)
- Partner with Sales and Product Mgmt. to land packages and develop feedback loop on market requirements to enhance product planning & trade marketing.
- Launch new and innovative pilots to sales
- Lead team effort to product collateral including product positioning documents and product KMD (Key Message Document); Collaborate with Creative Services team to deliver world class NPI (new product introduction)
- Some travel may be required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Demonstrated ability to manage delivery of projects/programs in a cross functional, geographically dispersed environment in a timely and effective manner
- Outstanding writing and presentation skills
- Strong commercial skills and ability to participate in sales negotiations and business decisions
- Superior Powerpoint, Word and Excel skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing small teams of product marketing manager
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, particularly with senior management
REQUIRED EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred with a minimum of 7 years of Marketing and Communication in SW-HW / telecommunications
- MBA or post-graduate degree strongly preferred
- 7+ years of marketing experience required
- Past experience at a network services and/or voice-data infrastructure provider is preferred
- True ability to create and generate a product platform vision in which people seek a role on his/her team.
- Proven background of developing and executing high impact relationships with product management and sales
- Experience in achieving business results in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Is willing to travel worldwide and able to multi-task within and across IPC divisions, time zones and geographies.
- Has excellent business model development, presentation, communication and reporting skills.
- Deals with ambiguity and embraces change.
- Strong people development experience
