Product Manager

•  CANDIDATES WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF THEY HAVE BRAND OR PROJECT MANAGER EXPERIENCE. 

Provides leadership and supports vision for achievement of strategic and financial goals of assigned subbrand(s).
Develop and implement the strategic plan of the assigned sub-brand(s) including:

• Aligning short-term business goals with long-term vision
• Planning and adjusting objectives and tactics based on changing environments and opportunities
• Long term business plans to maximize assigned sub-brand(s)
• Deliver planned volume and execute promotional programs/brand projects on time within budget.
• Manage brand forecasting of shipments and consumption -monthly, quarterly, annually.
• Understand the consumer and competitive dynamics of the brand, the product category and the competitive set, and the implications for the business
• Understand our customer(s), the retail environment and the relationship with the assigned sub-brand(s).
• Lead cross-functional projects for new product development, existing product improvements and promotional programs

• Train, develop and advance staff (where applicable)

Requirements:

Educational Experience:

• MBA, plus top consumer packaged goods experience as Product Manager, or Associate Product Manager ready to be promoted.
• Entrepreneurial and creative

Business Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of the business at all levels: Product/Portfolios, Competition, Trade, Advertising, Promotion, Finance, Market Research
• Marketing plan management
• Understanding of elements of marketing mix
• Talent management and development
• Identifies trends
• Analyzes data, makes recommendations
• Copy Evaluation
• Management of project budget & expenses
