Top Interactive agency is looking for a creative, intelligent and proactive Digital Social Media Director to join their team and play a pivotal role in the development and growth of the leading interactive agency. Reporting to the SVP, the Director of Social Media will be primarily responsible for strategically assisting Fortune 500 Clients with their social media strategies - facebook, twitter, myspace.....
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with all media teams on specific accounts to incorporate Social media campaigns (facebook, blogging, twitter, miscosite development)
- Demonstrate expertise in and knowledge of Social media, applications, branding, customer acquisition and industry trends
- Work cross-functionally to collaborate with client teams (i.e. Account Directors, Account Supervisors, Associate Media Directors, Media Supervisors and Planners), and provide strategic direction to team members on Client assignments.
- Work collaboratively cross-functionally with other senior level managers in the organization (e.g. Account Management, Strategy, Technology, Creative, etc.) to identify and resolve any business issues
- Maintain accountability for the quality, strategy and integrity of social media plans/strategies/ services delivered to their clients; resulting in the cultivation of client loyalty and retention. This includes the planning, buying and execution processes; and managing/guiding the media staff in the continuous evaluation of, and improvement upon, media opportunities for our clients.
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE: Minimum of 6+ years of prior interactive media experience specifically within the digital/ interactive marketing and advertising industry
- MUST HAVE: Minimum of 2+ years of social media facebook, myspace, twitter) proficiency
- A solid understanding of advertising, marketing and strategic brand management and how to best leverage these in a digital environment.
- Knowledge of the digital marketing and advertising landscape, the unique technical aspects of the medium and their impact on the development and execution of media strategies
- Ability to delegate efficiently and manage internal media teams in the development and execution of effective plans for clients.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and take proactive initiatives
- Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
